Plant Care Instructions*
Marginata is a hybrid dwarf variety with contrasting colored leaves that form a tight rosette, jade green leaves with a bold golden margin.
Hahnii Gold has buttery yellow leaves accented by green vertical stripes. The leaves form a tight rosette, the size of a bird’s nest, and the plant only grows 6-8” tall.
Hahnii Marginata has deep-jade thick semi-shiny pointed leaves, edged with a bold gold margin, overlapping to form a rosette creating tight upright cups.
Cylindrica has stout, cylindrical spears that spring from the sandy soil. They can be braided or left in their natural fan shape.
A brightly lit spot without direct sunshine is suggested. A small amount of morning or evening sun is not a problem.
We recommend watering once to twice a month, allowing the soil to completely dry out in between waterings. Over-watering can be an issue with Sansevieria, causing rot. In the winter months, you can go longer in between waterings.
A fast draining, high quality potting soil is best. You can do a 50/50 mix of natural potting soil / cactus blend, or mix generous amounts of perlite and vermiculite in to your potting soil. A high quality cactus/succulent mix would work very well on its own as well.
We recommend feeding from April through the end of September with a high quality, general purpose houseplant fertilizer.
